Exhibit and Talk with Artist Nellie Ashford–A Black History Month Event

Nellie Ashford is a renowned mixed-media artist whose works have been on exhibit widely. She draws on her experience growing up as an African American in the Jim Crow South. Many travelers at the Charlotte Douglas Airport have been inspired by her mural in the American Airlines terminal, “Honoring All Teachers.”

Ms. Ashford will be showcasing and discussing various works and will conduct a Q&A in the cellar kitchen at Historic Rosedale. Audience seating is limited to 30 so registration is recommended.
