Past & Play: Sounds of the Past

In this Past & Play program, little learners and their caregivers will explore the sounds that filled everyday life 250 years ago. Through hands-on activities, children will listen to nature sounds, try simple musical instruments, and hear farm animal sounds that would have been familiar in the past. This play-based program encourages listening, movement, and curiosity in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Activities include:

• Nature Sounds Station – Listen to and explore sounds from the natural environment.

• Instruments of the Past – Make music with drums, shakers, bells, and more.

• Sounds on the Farm – Match the farm animal to its sound.

• Make Your Own Shaker – Making your own shaker instrument to take home!
